Samsung announced that its Wallet and Pay applications will natively support stablecoin transfers on the Solana network, allowing users in the United States to send cross-border remittances using USDC beginning the last week of October 2026. The feature will be embedded directly into the Samsung Wallet interface, which already hosts cards, boarding passes, and IDs, eliminating the need for separate crypto tools. Users will benefit from integrated fiat on- and off-ramps that convert funds to and from local currency seamlessly within the same platform.

The integration leverages Solana’s infrastructure to process transactions behind the scenes, ensuring transfers occur within the familiar Samsung Wallet experience without additional complexity. At launch, the feature will be available on 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices, with further expansion contingent on meeting local regulatory requirements in additional markets.

Samsung Electronics emphasized the goal of simplifying financial tools, with Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team, stating that stablecoins can make global money transfers faster and more accessible while avoiding the intricacies of traditional crypto platforms. Solana’s role was highlighted as critical to delivering this experience at Samsung’s scale.

Solana Foundation President Lily Liu noted that stablecoins have demonstrated functional reliability over the past decade but lacked mainstream adoption until now. She described Samsung’s integration as a pivotal step toward embedding digital dollars into everyday financial activities through one of the world’s most widely used technology brands.
