Samsung Collaborates with Sui to Bring USDC to Samsung Wallet on 82 Million U.S. Galaxy Devices
Samsung Wallet will integrate USDC on Sui for 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices, enabling low-cost, fast cross-border transfers starting in the U.S. before global expansion.
Samsung Wallet is adding support for USDC on the Sui blockchain, allowing users of eligible U.S. Galaxy devices to hold and send the stablecoin directly within the wallet. The feature will launch in the U.S. before expanding to additional markets, integrating USDC alongside existing wallet functions such as payment cards, IDs, and tickets. Samsung describes the move as part of its effort to simplify financial interactions for everyday users.
The integration leverages Sui’s infrastructure to enable stablecoin transfers that are faster and cheaper than traditional remittance methods. According to Visa’s 20-market survey, digital apps are already the preferred way to send money internationally, with 41% of U.S. remittance users expressing interest in using stablecoins for cross-border transfers. USDC on Sui aims to reduce costs and processing times for these transactions.
Sui processed over $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume since August 2025, following the launch of native USDC on Sui in 2024 and Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol integration. The network has expanded payment infrastructure and stablecoin integrations across Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America, with gasless stablecoin transfers going live on Mainnet in May 2026.
Samsung and Sui emphasize making cross-border money transfers as simple as sending a message. Users will be able to send USDC on Sui without network fees or requiring SUI tokens, with the transfer cost set at $0.00 at the network level. Stablecoin transaction volume exceeded $83 trillion in the last 12 months, with remittances representing a key growth area.
