Snowflake and Oracle: Bringing the AI Data Cloud to OCI
Snowflake and Oracle will offer Snowflake on OCI as a native service, integrating Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for unified data and AI workloads.
Snowflake and Oracle announced an expansion of their partnership to deliver Snowflake on OCI as a native, first-party offering. The service will integrate Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enabling enterprises to process AI, analytics, and transactional workloads alongside Oracle databases and applications. Purchasing and billing will occur directly through Oracle, simplifying procurement for existing OCI customers.
The offering aims to help teams connect data from Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle NetSuite, and Oracle databases with other enterprise sources. It will support AI application development on governed data and enable workloads to run closer to Oracle systems hosted on OCI. The goal is to provide a broader foundation for analytics and AI by linking operational and analytical data across the enterprise.
Snowflake on OCI will include planned integrations with Oracle Fusion Applications (ERP, HCM, SCM), NetSuite, Oracle Database, Autonomous Database, MySQL HeatWave, and Oracle NoSQL Database. These connections will reduce reliance on custom pipelines and accelerate data use for analytics and AI. The service is designed to support cross-cloud data sharing and interoperability with other Snowflake accounts.
The commercial model will allow customers to provision Snowflake accounts through the OCI control plane and manage them using familiar Snowflake capabilities. Billing will occur via Oracle Universal Credits, with access provided through an integrated OCI experience. This approach aims to simplify deployment and reduce cross-cloud data movement costs for enterprises.
