SUBARU OF AMERICA REPORTS JUNE 2026 SALES UP 18.1 PERCENT
Subaru reported an 18.1 percent increase in U.S. vehicle sales for June 2026, driven by strong demand for the Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback models.
Subaru of America, Inc. announced 54,909 vehicle sales in June 2026, an 18.1 percent rise compared to June 2025. The Forester led sales with 16,288 units, a 43.6 percent increase, while the Outback sold 14,074 units, up 32.7 percent. The Crosstrek also achieved its best June ever with 16,050 units sold, a 0.4 percent increase. Hybrid and electric vehicles accounted for over 20 percent of total sales during the month.
Jeff Walters, Subaru of America’s President and COO, attributed the growth to the company’s focus on safety, reliability, and value, as well as strong retailer performance. He highlighted the brand’s broadest lineup in history and the impact of Subaru Love Promise community initiatives, which were detailed in the annual Corporate Impact Report released the prior month.
Troy Poston, Senior Vice President of Sales, noted that June’s results were driven by strong performances from the Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback, alongside continued growth in hybrid and electric models. He emphasized the company’s collaboration with retailers to meet customer demand while maintaining brand loyalty through ownership experience.
The company’s U.S. sales totaled 307,340 vehicles for the first half of 2026, a 4.5 percent decline compared to the same period in 2025. The Forester remained the top-selling model year-to-date with 107,854 units, while the Outback saw a 14.1 percent decrease in sales. Subaru operates a network of 640 retailers across the U.S. and manufactures vehicles in zero-landfill plants.
