Subaru of America announced July 2026 sales totaled 54,454 vehicles, a 0.8% rise from July 2025. The Forester remained the top-selling model for the seventh consecutive month with 15,873 units sold, a 33.5% increase year-over-year. Crosstrek followed closely at 15,789 units, while the Outback contributed 13,917 sales. The company highlighted ongoing demand for its gas, hybrid, and electric models.

Jeff Walters, Subaru of America President and COO, emphasized the company’s focus on customer relationships and community support. He noted the sixth year of the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, which has helped over one million students with retailer assistance. The statement underscored Subaru’s commitment to reliability across its vehicle lineup.

Troy Poston, Senior Vice President of Sales, attributed strong sales to affordability, advanced technology, and dependability. He highlighted the WRX’s 214.7% sales jump, attributing it to its manual transmission option for enthusiasts. The combined performance of Forester, Crosstrek, Outback, and WRX was cited as evidence of Subaru’s market strength.

The July 2026 sales data showed mixed results across models. Ascent sales rose 38.1% to 4,152 units, while Impreza and Legacy saw declines of 38.6% and 98.9%, respectively. The Solterra electric vehicle experienced a 91.2% drop in sales compared to July 2025. Total year-to-date sales fell 3.7% to 361,794 units.
