A correction was subsequently made to the decision letter for Torbay, addressing an error in the number of parishes listed under the remit of the new Torbay unitary authority. The correction does not alter the decision to establish a unitary authority in Torbay, as confirmed by the Secretary of State’s office. The adjustment ensures accuracy in the administrative boundaries and responsibilities of the new authority.

The reorganisation proposals were developed through consultations with local councils, stakeholders, and communities.
