Vercel MCP now renders deployments as an interactive card

Vercel has introduced an interactive card feature within its MCP integration that displays deployments directly inside ChatGPT and other compatible chat clients. The card provides real-time deployment status, build logs, and details such as the source repository and commit information. Once the deployment URL is available, a Visit button appears, allowing users to access the live deployment instantly.

Users can send build logs directly into the chat to collaborate with the model for debugging purposes. Alternatively, a fullscreen view is available to read logs in greater detail beneath the deployment card. For repositories connected to multiple projects, a project list enables switching between different deployments seamlessly.

The interactive card is the first MCP App built on the MCP Apps extension, expanding the capabilities of Vercel’s MCP integration. Clients that do not support MCP Apps will still receive deployment state, preview URL, and commit information as plain text. This ensures broader compatibility while maintaining core functionality.

The open_deployments tool allows users to look up deployments by project, repository, or commit, with additional filtering by environment. ChatGPT connects to Vercel MCP through its Connectors setup, enabling streamlined access to deployment data within the chat interface.
