Play More Ubisoft Games on PC: New Content Now Available for XBOX on PC, Plus Free PC Redemption
Xbox and Ubisoft announced expanded PC availability for Ubisoft titles, including premium editions and add-ons, alongside a free PC redemption offer for console owners.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
Xbox and Ubisoft have announced an expansion of their partnership, introducing premium editions and selected add-on content for Ubisoft games on Xbox for PC. Titles such as *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, *Star Wars Outlaws*, *Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege*, and others now include these options on the platform. Players can purchase these editions directly through Xbox for PC, with immediate access to both console and PC versions upon digital purchase.
A free benefit allows Xbox console owners of select Ubisoft games to redeem the PC version at no extra cost. This applies to digital owners of listed titles, who can claim the PC version via Ubisoft Connect. Existing console owners will receive the PC version during a progressive rollout concluding on August 4. Players must update Ubisoft Connect to the latest version to access the titles in their library.
The offer does not extend to PC-to-console transfers; only console owners can claim the free PC version. Season Passes and add-on content owned on Xbox will generally transfer to the PC version without additional charges, with exceptions for consumable items like in-game currency or one-time-use content. Players can verify their owned content in Ubisoft Connect PC under the game’s Properties page.
In-game currencies and consumables are excluded from the add-on content transfer. However, select games supporting cross-progression will carry over all content from the Xbox version to the PC version. Players are advised to check Ubisoft Connect PC for a full breakdown of owned DLC and editions to confirm eligibility.
