Amazon Connect Customer now supports versioning and aliasing for flows
Amazon Connect Customer now allows versioning and aliasing for flows and modules, enabling safer testing and deployment of customer experience updates without disrupting live traffic.
Amazon Connect Customer has introduced versioning and aliasing for flows and flow modules, allowing users to create immutable versions of customer experience flows. Each version can be assigned one or more aliases, which act as friendly names for easy reference. This update simplifies the process of building, testing, and deploying changes while minimizing disruption to live customer interactions.
With this feature, users can publish updated flows as new versions and validate them in test environments without affecting production traffic. Once validated, the production alias can be updated to redirect resources such as queues, quick connects, and phone numbers to the new version in a single step. This eliminates the need to republish or relink each resource individually.
The versioning and aliasing capability is now available in all AWS Regions where Amazon Connect Customer is offered. This ensures consistent access to the feature regardless of geographic deployment, supporting enterprises with global operations. Users can refer to the Amazon Connect Customer Administrator Guide for detailed instructions on implementing these changes.
Amazon Connect Customer is described as an agentic AI solution designed to help enterprises deliver customer experiences. The feature aims to streamline workflows by reducing the complexity of deploying updates, allowing teams to focus on refining customer interactions without risking live service disruptions.
