Amazon EC2 X2idn instances are now available in Asia Pacific (Hong Kong)
AWS has expanded its memory-optimized EC2 X2idn instances to the Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region, targeting memory-intensive workloads with improved performance and SAP certification.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the availability of memory-optimized Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) X2idn instances in the Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region. These instances are powered by 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors and leverage the AWS Nitro System, which enhances performance and efficiency for demanding workloads.
The X2idn instances are specifically designed for memory-intensive applications, offering improvements in performance compared to previous generation X1 instances. This makes them suitable for workloads requiring high memory capacity and processing power, such as enterprise databases and analytics platforms.
AWS notes that the X2idn instances are SAP-certified, enabling them to run a range of SAP workloads. These include Business Suite on HANA, SAP S/4HANA, Data Mart Solutions on HANA, Business Warehouse on HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP NetWeaver workloads on any database, ensuring compatibility with enterprise SAP environments.
The expansion to the Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region provides customers in this geographic area with access to these memory-optimized instances. This move supports businesses running memory-intensive workloads by offering enhanced performance and certified compatibility with critical enterprise applications.
