Under the revised rules, individuals accessing the site for official CERN activities are permitted to park for a maximum of five consecutive working days. Exceptions may be granted for duty travel, where longer stays can be arranged in designated long-stay parking areas upon agreement with the Registration and Access Control Service. This provision ensures flexibility for employees or visitors with extended official duties while maintaining structured access controls.
For individuals accessing the site outside the framework of official CERN activities, the maximum parking duration is strictly limited to three hours. This restriction applies to all non-official visitors, including contractors, external collaborators, and members of the public attending events or meetings not tied to CERN’s operational activities. The measure is intended to prevent misuse of CERN’s parking infrastructure and ensure equitable access for all users.
