Framework announced the Framework Laptop 13 Pro, a ground-up redesign featuring Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 Processors, a 74Wh battery, and LPCAMM2 memory, delivering over 20 hours of battery life on Netflix 4K streaming. The laptop includes a full CNC aluminum chassis, a purpose-built power-optimized display with touch support, and an upgraded haptics touchpad. Pre-loaded Ubuntu options are available, and the device maintains Framework’s core values of repairability and upgradeability. Pre-orders start at $1,199 for DIY Edition and $1,499 for pre-built models, with shipments beginning in June.

Updates to the Framework Laptop 16 were also revealed, though specific changes were not detailed in the announcement. The event introduced the OCuLink Dev Kit and the Framework Wireless Touchpad Keyboard, a compact keyboard with an integrated touchpad designed for living room use and sim rigs. The keyboard supports four BLE and USB-A Dongle hosts via Nordic nRF54 radio and open-source ZMK Firmware, with wired USB-C connectivity. A USB-A Adapter Expansion Card is in development to allow flush mounting in Framework Laptop or Desktop systems.

The Framework Wireless Touchpad Keyboard addresses a gap in the market identified during the development of Framework Desktop, where existing options were unpopular among users and developers. The keyboard leverages the mechanical key structure and touchpad architecture from the Framework Laptop 12, ensuring a consistent user experience.
