Garmin Pilot for Apple devices has introduced a redesigned Flights page, replacing the previous Trip Planning page. The new hub integrates route planning, weight and balance, fuel planning, and briefing into a single interface. A modern user interface and quickset cards simplify data entry, while the experience aligns with Garmin Pilot Web. The update is available immediately for Apple device users.

SmartCharts, Garmin’s dynamic aviation charting solution, will expand to Canada and Mexico in August 2026 for Premium subscribers. The feature provides tailored charts with relevant data and now includes a Continuous Descent Final Approach path for non-precision approaches. Cold weather adjustments for Canadian and U.S. airports are also supported, enhancing operational flexibility in colder regions.

Pilots flying to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 will benefit from refined FISK VFR Arrival enhancements in Garmin Pilot, SmartCharts, and navigation databases. New labels on charts improve waypoint identification, while runway dots and squares align with ATC markings. The Notes section has been updated for clarity, and a direct link to the NOTAM arrival page simplifies access to critical information.

Garmin Pilot Premium subscriptions cover SmartCharts in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, with a Worldwide option available. Pilots can trial the service through promotions like 15 for 12 or Right Seat Rewards. AirVenture attendees can also receive a 10% discount on renewal by visiting the Garmin exhibit.
