Google Search now offers interactive visuals and simulations to clarify complex topics. Users can request custom tools, such as plotting items on the pH scale, directly in AI Mode or AI Overviews. These generative UI features are available globally in English, with AI Overviews expanding to additional languages. The goal is to make abstract concepts more tangible for learners.

Customized practice quizzes are available for subjects like math, science, and standardized tests including SAT, ACT, and NEET. Developed in partnership with education companies like The Princeton Review and PhysicsWallah, these quizzes provide explanations and links for further study. The feature is free and accessible in both AI Mode and AI Overviews.

A new Lens in Search feature will help students troubleshoot problems by analyzing photos of their work. The tool identifies mistakes, offers explanations, and allows follow-up questions in AI Mode. It will launch globally in English over the coming weeks on Android and iOS devices.

Notebooks are now integrated into AI Mode, allowing students to compile class materials, lecture slides, and web articles in one place. Users can create study documents from uploaded files or AI Mode threads, such as generating a one-pager from handwritten notes and slides. The feature rolls out globally in English, excluding the EEA.
