In addition to on-demand content, Google TV Freeplay now includes over 300 free live channels covering news, sports, reality TV, and true crime. The lineup features channels such as World of Love Island, Bloomberg TV+, Yahoo! Sports Network, and The Martha Stewart Channel. Users can access these channels alongside the on-demand library through the Freeplay app on their Google TV home screen. The service is ad-supported, meaning viewers will encounter advertisements during playback.
The on-demand library includes titles from major studios like A24 and Lionsgate, with selections ranging from Oscar-winning films such as “Lady Bird” to popular shows like “Seventeen Again” and “Hell’s Kitchen.” Google has stated that the library will be updated regularly throughout the year to introduce new content. The inclusion of diverse genres aims to cater to a wide audience with varied entertainment preferences.
