Google unveiled the Pixel 11 series, featuring AI-driven tools for daily tasks, advanced camera features, and real-time translation. Preorders are open with availability starting August 20.
The Pixel 11 lineup introduces AI-powered features to assist with daily tasks such as booking reservations, organizing calendars, and transcribing speech. Rambler, a new voice input tool, improves transcription accuracy even with filler words. Sign-to-text functionality, powered by Google DeepMind’s SL2T model, converts sign language into text. Proactive assistance is delivered through contextual cards in apps, offering timely information like flight updates or reservation suggestions.
The Pixel 11 series enhances photography with Magic Capture, which automatically captures fleeting moments like baby smiles or sports action using AI analysis of up to 400 frames. Camera Looks allows users to select from multiple aesthetic presets, including Natural, Shadows, and Vanilla, with additional customizable options. The Creator Suite simplifies video creation with tools like an on-screen teleprompter, project folders, and Storyboard for editing clips.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL models feature Instant Night Sight, enabling 4.5 times faster low-light photography while maintaining image quality. Circle to Search in the camera viewfinder identifies objects, such as plants, and provides relevant information. Live Translate offers real-time audio and video dubbing into preferred languages using on-device AI models.
Preorders for the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro XL are open, with retail availability beginning August 20. The devices integrate Gemini Intelligence for multitasking across over 40 apps, expanding proactive assistance features like location-based insights and contextual suggestions in Google Wallet and Maps.
