Powering the agentic enterprise with latest innovations in Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud
Google Cloud and Oracle expand their AI integration, enabling enterprises to build autonomous workflows by unifying Oracle databases with Google Cloud’s AI and data ecosystem, including BigQuery and Gemini Enterprise.
Google Cloud and Oracle are deepening their partnership to enable agentic AI workflows by integrating Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud with Google’s Agentic Data Cloud and Gemini Enterprise. This collaboration aims to break down data silos, allowing AI agents secure, real-time access to enterprise data for real-world actions. The integration leverages Oracle’s operational data and Google Cloud’s AI capabilities to move beyond static analytics and support autonomous workflows.
A Remote MCP Server with Data API is now generally available, providing a standardized interface for AI agents and applications to securely interact with Oracle databases using SQL. The integration uses Google Cloud IAM policies and Secret Manager to automate credentials, eliminating the need for custom middleware or plaintext passwords. This capability simplifies secure database access for AI-driven workflows.
Google Cloud’s Knowledge Catalog integration, currently in preview, unifies metadata discovery and governance across Oracle databases and the broader Agentic Data Cloud. It automatically catalogs schemas and business metadata, enforcing consistent access controls and supplying semantic context for AI agents to reason accurately over operational data.
The preview of the Gemini connector for Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud allows users to interact with Oracle databases using natural language queries directly in the Gemini app. Behind the scenes, Gemini leverages Knowledge Catalog to ground responses in governed Oracle data, enabling conversational access to complex operational databases without compromising security.
