Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation will host E-FOREST TECH DAY 2026, an exhibition in Uiwang, South Korea, from October 19–21, 2026, to showcase smart factory technologies and their vision for software-defined factories (SDFs). The event, now in its seventh year, serves as a platform for sharing approximately 200 new manufacturing technologies developed by Hyundai Motor and Kia’s Manufacturing Solution Division and partner companies.

The exhibition highlights foundational SDF technologies, automation, energy solutions, and future mobility innovations. Hyundai Motor and Kia are advancing SDFs by creating a unified data framework and standardized development environment to tailor solutions for manufacturing sites in Korea and overseas. Digital twin technology will be demonstrated, enabling simulations of factory equipment to address issues before they occur in real production.

Automation technologies, including a tunnel-type exterior inspection vision system, will be featured to improve work efficiency and manufacturing quality. The system, developed in-house, inspects vehicle exteriors using 3D simulation and is planned for deployment in plants globally. Smart energy solutions and additive manufacturing technologies, which create shapes from design data without molds, will also be on display.

The event will include a technology presentation conference and partner seminars focused on enhancing global production plant competitiveness. Discussions will cover physical AI, data-driven manufacturing innovation, and manufacturing AI to foster industry-wide collaboration and technological advancement.
