Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan will participate in a fireside chat on September 15 with Edmund Nelson, co-founder of AI Infra Summit, to discuss how advancements in silicon, systems, and software are shaping AI infrastructure. The conversation will focus on the industry’s need for collaboration to address performance, efficiency, and cost challenges as enterprises scale AI deployments. Intel’s systems-level approach, first outlined at Computex, will be highlighted as a foundation for real-world AI scaling.

Intel experts including Huma Abidi and Nagesh Puppala will lead sessions on designing and deploying specialized inference infrastructure for AI workloads. Puppala will address the transition from experimentation to real-world scale, emphasizing an open, full-stack infrastructure approach that integrates heterogeneous compute, software frameworks, and hybrid architectures combining cloud and edge capabilities.

Anil Nanduri of Intel and Anton McGonnel of SambaNova Systems will present a blueprint for agentic AI infrastructure, exploring architectural patterns such as heterogeneous computing and disaggregated inference to support autonomous AI systems. The discussion will underscore the role of intelligent orchestration in scaling these technologies across enterprise environments.

Intel will host virtual and on-site hackathons to enable developers to build and deploy robotics systems using Intel’s Physical AI technologies. New research commissioned by Intel indicates accelerating robotics adoption, though organizations face challenges in strategy, skills, safety, and infrastructure that may hinder scaling efforts.
