Intel introduced three architectures at Hot Chips 2026 to support Agentic AI and enterprise workloads. The Diamond Rapids processor serves as a high-performance orchestration platform, while the Crescent Island GPU focuses on efficient AI inference. Wildcat Lake, branded as Intel Core Series 3, targets intelligent client and edge computing. The designs are built on Intel Foundry technologies, including the Intel 18A process family and Foveros Direct 3D packaging.

Diamond Rapids is positioned as a versatile processor for enterprise-scale Agentic AI, combining adaptable compute blocks, a unified memory fabric, and flexible I/O. It introduces Intel 18A-P, advanced packaging with Foveros Direct 3D, and UCIe-S interconnects. The processor also features a high-bandwidth memory subsystem, Advanced Performance Extensions, and enhanced Advanced Matrix Extensions to accelerate AI applications. Intel emphasizes its role in delivering consistent performance, efficiency, and scalability for next-generation workloads.

Crescent Island is designed to improve the economics of real-time AI inference by enabling larger models, longer context windows, and more concurrent agents within existing data center footprints. The GPU leverages Intel’s Xe architecture to maximize token throughput and reduce cooling demands. Intel highlights its low-power, easy-to-deploy design as a solution for enterprises seeking to accelerate AI adoption while optimizing infrastructure utilization and return on investment.

Wildcat Lake, launched as Intel Core Series 3, extends Agentic AI capabilities to price-sensitive laptops and edge platforms. Built on Intel 18A, it combines high single-thread performance with integrated Xe3 graphics and an NPU delivering up to 17 TOPS for Hybrid AI. The processor marks Intel’s first use of UCIe in a client design, enabling cost-effective multi-chip package configurations for mainstream AI platforms.
