Kuehne+Nagel strengthens own-controlled air freight network with greater global connectivity
Kuehne+Nagel has expanded its own-controlled air freight network by adding Frankfurt to its Inspire aircraft rotation, enhancing global connectivity between North America, Europe, and Asia starting June 2026.

Kuehne+Nagel has integrated Frankfurt into its Inspire aircraft rotation, a Boeing 747-8 freighter operated under long-term charter by Atlas Air. Frankfurt, Europe’s leading air cargo hub handling approximately 2 million tonnes annually, strengthens key trade flows between Europe and North America. The updated rotation introduces a weekly service from Chicago to Frankfurt, continuing to Atlanta, directly linking two major pharmaceutical production and distribution centers. This expansion supports the movement of time-sensitive healthcare and other high-value shipments.
The Boeing 747-8F, with a cargo capacity of about 140 tonnes, enables the transport of complex and high-value goods across critical global trade lanes. Effective June 2026, the updated rotation connects Atlanta, Chicago, Frankfurt, Liège, Sharjah, and Taipei, enhancing transatlantic and Asia-Europe trade lane connectivity. The network prioritizes industries requiring high reliability and speed, including pharmaceuticals, aerospace, high-tech, semiconductors, and cloud infrastructure shipments.

The expanded rotation provides customers with increased capacity, reliability, and global connectivity for healthcare and time-sensitive cargo, including high-tech and semiconductor flows. Kuehne+Nagel continues to scale its own-controlled capacity with over 100 weekly charter connections worldwide.
