Meta announced Muse Spark 1.1, a new AI model powering the Meta AI app and meta.ai, designed to execute multi-step tasks independently. The model can now plan, follow through, and complete actions without repeated prompts, marking a shift from answering queries to performing work on behalf of users. This update is positioned as a step toward personal superintelligence, where the AI anticipates needs and handles responsibilities without constant oversight.
Users can delegate routine tasks to Meta AI, such as creating a kitchen renovation plan that includes sourcing furniture within budget and generating a mood board. The AI can also develop personalized training schedules for a first half-marathon, adjusting for availability and sending weekly updates. For social planning, it can recommend restaurants, check calendars for availability, and suggest options, streamlining coordination that previously required manual effort.
Meta AI now provides daily briefings by consolidating calendar events and identifying conflicts or changes, delivering summaries at a user’s preferred time. Once tasks are set up, the AI continues to execute them autonomously, whether generating weekly meal plans, tracking sneaker releases, or compiling trend updates. The assistant can also conduct rapid research across the web and Meta’s platforms, synthesizing information from research papers, creators, and community posts to help users make informed decisions.
Real-time adjustments are now possible as Meta AI works, allowing users to redirect the AI mid-task by changing focus, tone, or content. Outputs like training schedules, slide decks, and mood boards are stored in a unified workspace for easy access, editing, and sharing. The features launch today in select markets within the Meta AI app and meta.ai, with broader rollouts planned for WhatsApp and additional regions in the coming weeks.
