Nikon releases the Z5IIC full-frame mirrorless camera

Nikon Corporation announced the release of the full-frame mirrorless Z5IIC camera, which shares performance features with the earlier Z5II model. The camera introduces scene modes on the mode dial, allowing first-time users to automatically optimize color, brightness, and other settings for 15 different shooting scenarios, from portraits to night landscapes. A dedicated button provides quick access to Imaging Recipes created by Nikon and leading creators, enabling users to capture photos and videos without adjusting manual settings. The streamlined design and ergonomic grip prioritize portability and comfort, while powerful image stabilization and AI-powered autofocus help reduce blur in stills and video.

The Z5IIC supports 4K UHD recording at up to 60 fps and Full HD at up to 120 fps, offering flexibility for editing and slow-motion effects. It includes features such as a REC lamp, red frame indicator, and support for N-Log, making it suitable for video creation and live streaming via USB connection to a PC. The camera also supports UVC/UAC for use as a webcam and offers H.265 10-bit (MOV) recording for advanced video production.

The Z5IIC incorporates a backside-illumination CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 7 image-processing engine, delivering high-quality images and video when paired with NIKKOR Z lenses. It includes the Film Grain function for a nostalgic aesthetic and features a 3.2-inch vari-angle monitor with touch controls for intuitive operation. The camera’s magnesium alloy body and dust- and drip-resistant design ensure durability for outdoor use.

The Z5IIC is available in black and silver, catering to user preferences. It includes in-camera vibration reduction with up to 7.5 stops of correction, AI-powered subject detection, and automatic exposure optimization in AUTO mode. The camera also supports Product Review Mode for smooth focus transitions during close-up recordings, expanding its utility for vlogging and content creation.
