Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. released its August 2026 sales, production, and export figures, highlighting a 9.7% year-on-year increase in Japan sales. The Roox model achieved 6,093 units sold, securing the 10th position in Japan’s monthly vehicle sales rankings, including kei cars. This performance underscores the continued strength of key models in the domestic market.
In the U.S., Nissan’s strategic focus on retail sales has been reinforced by strong performance from the Rogue, Pathfinder, and Frontier models. The recent introduction of the all-new Rogue Hybrid is expected to further bolster sales by addressing evolving customer preferences and market demands.
China’s market remains challenging, but the newly unveiled all-new NX7 SUV has generated positive customer interest as Nissan advances its transition toward New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). The company is prioritizing competitiveness and laying the groundwork for future growth despite ongoing market pressures.
Globally, Nissan reported 207,162 units sold in August 2026, a 17.5% year-on-year decline, with production at 191,524 units, down 19.5%. Exports from Japan totaled 26,610 units, a 3.7% decrease year-on-year. The company continues to refine its market strategy amid fluctuating global demand.
