Hoymiles releases a 2,000 kWh C&I energy storage solution
Hoymiles introduces a commercial and industrial energy storage system with capacities from 2 MWh to 2.61 MWh, featuring high AC output and advanced safety systems.
Chinese manufacturer Hoymiles has launched the HoyUltra 2,000M, a commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system with storage capacities starting at 2 MWh. The product is available in 15 configurations, offering storage capacities between 2 MWh and 2.61 MWh, and rated AC output ranging from 500 kW to 1.25 MW. The system supports multiple AC voltage levels, including 380/400 V, 690 V, and 800 V, catering to diverse electrical conditions in industrial settings.
The HoyUltra 2,000M integrates batteries, a power conversion system (PCS), thermal management, a static transfer switch (STS), and fire protection equipment. It uses 314 Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells from an undisclosed supplier. The STS enables switching to backup power in less than 20 milliseconds, ensuring uninterrupted power supply during grid disruptions.
The system employs liquid cooling for both the PCS and batteries, maintaining rated power output even at temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius. It operates within a temperature range of -30 C to 55 C and includes a cabinet-level fire protection system with smoke and temperature detection, fire suppression, interlocked ventilation, and an explosion pressure relief device.
All configurations of the HoyUltra 2,000M measure 6,058 mm × 2,591 mm × 2,438 mm and weigh between 22,700 kg and 26,000 kg. The containerized systems feature an IP55 ingress protection rating and C5 corrosion resistance, allowing operation at altitudes up to 2,000 meters.
