Bit Reactor, the studio behind Star Wars Zero Company, initially brought back some furloughed developers after the game's August launch. The company did not disclose how many staff members were reinstated, leaving uncertainty about the total number of returning employees. Reports at the time suggested more than half of the furloughed team had resumed full-time roles, though specifics remained unconfirmed.

Following the partial recall, multiple developers reported being laid off, as shared on LinkedIn. Among those affected were producer Michael Blackard and senior QA analyst Ryan Mosher, who confirmed their departures publicly. Environment artist Ryan Lopez also announced his layoff, citing pride in the project despite the outcome.

Lopez, who worked on the game for over three years including pre-production, expressed disappointment but highlighted the team's achievements. UI engineer Tyler Eichten similarly announced his layoff, praising the UI/UX team's work and wishing colleagues well in their future roles.

It remains unclear how many other staff members have been laid off, as Bit Reactor has not issued a formal statement. The game's critical and commercial success makes the layoffs particularly notable, leaving affected developers seeking new opportunities in the industry.
