Cyberpunk 2077's Edgerunners 2 update adds two new quests, handgun dual wielding and the ability to pimp your mantis blades
Cyberpunk 2077’s update 2.5, releasing October 22, introduces two new quests, handgun dual wielding, and cyberware customization, alongside Edgerunners-themed content.
Cyberpunk 2077’s next major update, version 2.5, launches on October 22, coinciding with the release of the second season of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime. The update, developed by CD Projekt Red and Virtuos, includes a full-length Edgerunners 2 prequel quest called Clampdown, offering anime-themed gear and a new radio station featuring music from both seasons of the series.
A second new quest, Welcome to Paradise, explores Night City’s lore through projected lectures from founder Richard Night, incorporating a mystery for players to solve. The update also introduces a new perk, Double Trouble, enabling players to dual wield power handguns and revolvers, though not all weapon types are supported.
Cyberware customization arrives with five new vendors called glamdocs, allowing players to visually alter hand cyberware like mantis blades and gorilla arms. These vendors offer 40 alternative looks inspired by Night City’s corporations and gangs, with additional color customization options for weapons and cyberware.
Cross-platform modding support is part of the update, primarily benefiting console players by simplifying the modding process. The full patch notes detail additional changes, though the update’s release date and scope suggest it may not be the final addition to the game.
