To support AI readiness in schools, Salesforce funds initiatives like the Principal Innovation Fund, providing $100,000 annually to middle school principals in San Francisco and Oakland for tailored programs. Partnerships with nonprofits such as Genesys Works and aiEDU expand AI literacy and early-career opportunities. Salesforce also launched a Builder program to recruit 1,000 graduates and interns into high-impact roles, while employees volunteered over 273,000 hours in education-focused efforts last year.

Salesforce argues that closing the AI skills gap requires public-private collaboration, combining policy frameworks with technical expertise. The company supports the Economy of the Future Commission Act alongside a coalition including Google, IBM, and Microsoft. Salesforce’s approach prioritizes responsible AI adoption in schools, emphasizing transparency, data security, and human-centered decision-making to ensure equitable workforce readiness.
