Salesforce Launches Agentforce Help Agent That Deploys in Minutes and Only Charges for Resolutions
Salesforce introduces Agentforce Help Agent, an autonomous customer service agent deployable in minutes with pay-per-resolution pricing, built on existing Salesforce Knowledge and workflows.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
Salesforce has launched Agentforce Help Agent, an autonomous service agent designed to resolve customer issues end-to-end across all channels from day one. The agent is deployable in minutes through a guided setup process, eliminating the need for manual configuration of knowledge bases, workflows, or channels. Built on the Agentforce 360 Platform, it automatically grounds itself in Salesforce Knowledge and uses a library of predefined actions to manage cases, schedule appointments, and update orders. The agent operates across voice, web, portals, and messaging, providing consistent support without requiring separate integrations for each channel.
The Help Agent addresses common pitfalls in AI service deployments, such as reliance on messy data and limited action capabilities. Salesforce reports that a similar agent on help.salesforce.com has handled 4.3 million inquiries, resolving 70% autonomously, with lessons incorporated into the new offering. Unlike traditional AI tools that charge based on usage or interactions, Salesforce’s pay-per-resolution pricing model ensures customers only pay when the agent successfully resolves an issue from start to finish. This aligns costs directly with outcomes, reducing expenses for unsuccessful interactions.
Customer feedback highlights the practical benefits of the new agent. PenFed Credit Union’s Nicole LaCamp noted the agent frees teams to focus on member needs while enabling faster, personalized service at scale. Fisher & Paykel’s Rudi Khoury emphasized the agent’s ability to recognize customer context and double self-service resolution rates, improving efficiency and experience. PowerSchool’s Mark Miller pointed to the agent’s potential to deliver frictionless, personalized support across all channels, addressing challenges in scaling service operations.
Salesforce also announced a definitive agreement to acquire Fin, a customer agent platform for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), expected to close in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2027. The acquisition aims to expand deployment options for AI agents, particularly for SMBs needing quick integration and measurable outcomes. The combined offerings will provide faster time-to-value and additional flexibility for customers across different business sizes.
