Salesforce has been named the Title Sponsor and official AI partner of FIDE, the International Chess Federation, covering the 2026 and 2028 World Championship Matches, the 2027 Women’s Match, and the world rankings. The multiyear agreement positions Salesforce as the presenting sponsor of the Salesforce FIDE World Chess Championships and Salesforce FIDE Rankings, marking a significant shift in how chess events and rankings are managed and presented. The partnership leverages Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 portfolio, including Slack, to streamline operations and enhance fan experiences across over 800 million global chess enthusiasts.

Under the collaboration, FIDE will run its entire operation on a single intelligent platform powered by Agentforce 360, enabling real-time player rankings and AI-driven fan interactions. Fans will access the Chess Concierge Agent to receive answers on ratings, rules, and live tournament updates in any language, while FIDE’s expert panel will use Slack to review and select elite competition moves via the Move of the Day workflow. The platform will also connect FIDE’s 204 national federations, providing behind-the-scenes visibility into ratings and operational data.

The partnership introduces the ELO Player Rating Agent, which offers conversational lookups of any FIDE player’s historical trends, current standings, and predictive insights. It automates rating data pipelines across all federations, replacing manual batch processes with near-real-time updates. Data 360 will unify FIDE’s player database, consolidating profiles for active online players and integrating over 60,000 annual event streams to deliver real-time fan and player insights.

FIDE CEO Emil Sutovsky and Interim President Viswanathan Anand highlighted the partnership’s significance, emphasizing its role in modernizing chess governance and elevating the sport’s global profile. Salesforce’s Patrick Stokes noted the honor of collaborating with FIDE to bring enterprise-grade tools to a historically rich and widely beloved game, aiming to deepen connections with players and audiences through personalized, data-driven experiences.
