Samsung Introduces New Odyssey Lineup for Fast-Paced Gaming at Gamescom 2026
Samsung unveiled its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom 2026, introducing four new models with varying screen sizes, resolutions, and refresh rates to cater to different gaming needs.
Samsung Electronics announced its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, featuring four new models: the 49-inch OLED G9, 42-inch curved OLED G7, 32-inch OLED G8, and the 1,100 Hz Odyssey G6. The lineup emphasizes versatility with innovations in speed, screen size, picture quality, and display modes to accommodate competitive play, cinematic games, and multi-purpose setups.
The Odyssey OLED G9 offers Dual QHD resolution at 360 Hz or Dual HD at up to 720 Hz, while the 32-inch OLED G8 supports up to 680 Hz refresh rates across three modes. The 42-inch curved OLED G7 provides a 1,000R curvature and 4K resolution at 165 Hz, optimized for RPG and open-world games. The Odyssey G6, a 27-inch model, achieves up to 1,100 Hz in HD, targeting FPS players prioritizing speed.
Samsung also highlighted expanded HDR10+ GAMING support for over 20 titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and introduced new Odyssey 3D game support for titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Cronos: The New Dawn, enhancing depth and spatial perspective in supported games.
The Odyssey OLED G8 includes Samsung Glare Free technology, a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel, and connectivity options such as DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI ports, USB-C with 98 W Power Delivery, and KVM support. The Odyssey G6 will launch globally in the second half of 2026, with availability and pricing for other models to be announced later.
