Samsung To Showcase Latest Gaming Innovations at Gamescom 2026
Samsung will present its integrated gaming ecosystem at Gamescom 2026, featuring Odyssey G8 monitors, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra devices, and 9100 Pro SSDs alongside a global tournament and interactive exhibits.
Samsung Electronics announced its participation in Gamescom 2026, scheduled for August 26–30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. The company will highlight a full-stack gaming ecosystem designed to connect PCs, consoles, and mobile devices under the theme '#PlaySamsung.' The event, themed 'Games Spark Excitement for the Future,' is the world’s largest gaming gathering, attracting approximately 1,500 exhibitors and 360,000 visitors in 2025.
The exhibition will feature Samsung’s latest gaming products, including the Odyssey G8 monitor, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra smartphone, and 9100 Pro SSD. The Odyssey G8, launched in May 2026, offers dual-mode operation with 6K resolution at 165 Hz or 3K at 330 Hz, supporting G-SYNC and FreeSync Premium to reduce screen distortion. Visitors can test these devices in gameplay demonstrations featuring titles like the Sonic series and Pearl Abyss’s Crimson Desert on the 6K display with HDR10+ GAMING.
Samsung will host the #PlayGalaxy Cup World Finals on August 27–28, featuring a global tournament with ten teams competing across five regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia. The event opens with a special PUBG Mobile match between prominent gaming influencers, showcasing the performance of Galaxy smartphones in competitive play.
The booth will also include interactive experiences such as a cosplay runway and themed product demonstrations. Samsung’s presence underscores its push to integrate gaming across multiple platforms, offering attendees hands-on access to hardware and software designed for high-performance gaming environments.
