Memperkenalkan Label Baru untuk Identitas Artis Buatan AI di Spotify — Spotify
Spotify will begin labeling AI-generated artist personas with a new badge starting mid-September to clarify whether profiles represent real humans or AI creations, addressing listener concerns about authenticity.
Spotify announced the introduction of an AI Persona label for artist profiles, signaling to listeners when an artist’s identity is likely AI-generated rather than representing a real person. The label will appear on artist banners, the 'About' section, search results, and song rows in playlists starting in mid-September. This initiative aims to address growing listener discomfort with profiles that appear human but are created using AI technology. The company emphasized that the label pertains solely to the artist’s public identity, not the music’s creation process, which is addressed separately through features like AI Credits and SongDNA.
Artists can voluntarily disclose their AI Persona status via Spotify for Artists, but Spotify will also review profiles independently to identify those that appear to represent photorealistic AI identities. Profiles flagged by Spotify will receive notifications and the opportunity to self-disclose or appeal. The company plans to expand this system in the coming months by allowing listeners to report suspected AI Persona profiles for further review. The goal is to foster transparency and trust in the platform’s artist ecosystem.
The AI Persona label is part of Spotify’s broader effort to prioritize authentic human artists in its recommendations, excluding AI Persona profiles from editorial and algorithmic suggestions unless explicitly followed by users. This aligns with the company’s 2026 roadmap, which includes additional transparency features to clarify what listeners hear and who stands behind the music. Spotify’s updated algorithms aim to filter out spam, low-quality content, or 'slop' from recommendations, focusing on content from artists building genuine careers in music.
The initiative reflects Spotify’s ongoing adaptation to the evolving music landscape, where AI tools are increasingly used in creative processes. While acknowledging the spectrum of AI’s role in music, Spotify seeks to provide clarity on artist identities without restricting creative expression. The company will continue refining its approach based on feedback from artists, listeners, and industry partners, ensuring the platform remains a trusted space for discovering and engaging with music.
