Applications now open for UK government's 2026-27 Chevening Scholarships

Applications for the UK government’s Chevening Scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year are now open, with a submission deadline of 6 October 2026. The programme is open to Lebanese citizens and Palestinians residing in Lebanon, covering all subject areas for master’s degrees at UK universities. Successful candidates will receive full funding, including tuition fees, living costs, and travel expenses, as well as access to a global network of professionals and leaders.

The Chevening programme in Lebanon also includes the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Chevening Fellowship, which provides mid-career academics and professionals with a five-month research opportunity at the University of Oxford. This fellowship focuses on Islam, Muslim societies, and their role in a global context, with applications accepted from 11 August to 6 October 2026.

Two additional scholarships are available for Lebanese and Palestinian residents in Lebanon. The Chevening-Siren Associates Scholarship funds one master’s student in Governance, International Development, Human Rights, or Public Financial Management/Administration at a top 20 UK university. The Chevening-Raffy Manoukian Scholarship supports up to three students pursuing master’s degrees in Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, STEM, or related fields at a top 10 UK university.

The Chevening-Rebecca Dykes Scholarship, awarded annually by the British Embassy Beirut since 2017, supports one female scholar in fields such as Gender Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Development, Human Rights, or Refugee and Migration Studies. Over 40 years, Chevening has provided scholarships to outstanding individuals with leadership potential, enabling them to study in the UK and contribute to global challenges through education and professional networks.
