The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has announced that applications for the 2027/2028 Chevening Scholarships in Türkiye are now open. The scholarships will close on 6 October 2026 at 11:00 (UTC). Chevening is the UK Government’s international scholarship programme, designed to support individuals with leadership potential who aim to drive sustainable development in their fields.
The programme offers fully funded one-year master’s degrees at UK universities, providing recipients with world-class education, UK connections, and access to a global network of professionals. Since its launch in 1983, Chevening has supported over 60,000 professionals, demonstrating the UK’s commitment to fostering future leaders and addressing global challenges.
Applicants must meet eligibility criteria, including securing an unconditional offer from a UK university by the Chevening deadline. Candidates are advised to review the programme’s vision and resources at www.chevening.org/vision and assess their readiness before applying. Immediate relatives of British government employees are ineligible, and all applications must be submitted through the designated online system.
The Chevening-Türk Eğitim Vakfı (TEV) Partnership Award requires separate applications to both Chevening and TEV systems. Details on the TEV process will be published on their website. The application window closes on 6 October 2026 at 11:00 (UTC), and further guidance is available on the Chevening FAQ page.
