XREAL AURA Is Here: Meet Seven Made With Unity Titles
Unity announces seven Made With Unity titles launching on XREAL AURA, showcasing Android XR development tools and cross-platform support for immersive experiences.
XREAL AURA, the first wired Android XR glasses, has launched, enabling immersive gaming, mixed reality, and productivity applications in a portable form. Unity’s support for the device was announced in June, and developers have now released seven titles built with Unity for day-one availability. Studios highlight how Unity’s tools accelerated development, from prefab workflows to OpenXR compatibility, demonstrating practical benefits for creators.
Owlchemy Labs’ Hyper Visor transforms surroundings into an interactive arcade experience using Unity’s physics scenes, URP, and OpenXR support. Resolution Games ported Demeo to XREAL AURA, leveraging Unity’s cross-platform XR foundation and reusable UPM components to streamline the process. Devs United Games brought Real VR Fishing to the platform with minimal additional effort, crediting Unity’s OpenXR support for efficient porting and reduced platform-specific work.
VIRTUAL BEINGS used Unity CLI to integrate AI coding agents into its workflow, accelerating development for Forever Pets: Zen Cats. Foretell Games built Enigmo and SwarmFleet with Unity’s cross-platform pipeline, allowing a single codebase to target multiple VR platforms. Mirrorscape’s Fallout: Factions relies on Unity’s AR Foundation and XR Interaction Toolkit to implement gesture controls and adapt its AR architecture for XREAL AURA.
Unity encourages developers to start building for XREAL AURA using Unity 6.6, the Android XR Build Profile, and comprehensive documentation. The company emphasizes ongoing investments in Android XR tools, including Unity 6.7 and Unity 7, to simplify development for immersive experiences across platforms.
