Brookhollow Park’s Woodpile area becomes a new exploration zone in the Rot and Ruin Update, featuring towering structures and winding passages now inhabited by Termites and other threats. The Termites include Workers, Soldiers, the Termite King, and new O.G.R.R. variants, each displaying altered behaviors and attacks compared to previous encounters. Players must navigate carefully as these creatures pose fresh challenges in the decaying environment. The update also introduces a new boss, the Centipede, a formidable adversary with significant combat demands.

A new vehicle, the Potato Beetle Buggy, joins the lineup, offering close-range combat capabilities and utility. Larger than the Ladybug Buggy, it can fire projectiles, use a Healing Roar to restore health, haul resources, and contribute materials to blueprints while players explore. The buggy enhances mobility and combat options in the Park’s evolving terrain. Players can now personalize their bases with paint using the Splotcher, a new paintball gun that applies color to walls, floors, roofs, stairs, doors, and other structures.

Equipment upgrades receive a boost with Bismuth, a new resource tied to Raw Science beneath Brookhollow Park. Players can gather, refine, and use Bismuth at the Yoking Press to upgrade weapons and armor to higher Tiers, enhancing their gear’s effectiveness. This system provides a new progression path alongside existing mechanics. Additional content includes new SCA.B Themes, collectible miniatures, and new stations, expanding customization and gameplay depth.

Grounded 2 (Xbox Game Preview) is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Game Pass, as well as on Steam via Early Access and PlayStation 5. The full Version 1.0 release is scheduled for 2027, marking the game’s transition from preview to complete experience.
