Meet Apple HomeView, a new way to enjoy entertainment and manage the home

Apple HomeView is a 7-inch smart display designed to serve as a central hub for home entertainment and smart home management. It integrates Apple Intelligence with Siri AI to provide personalized experiences, including FaceTime calls, music playback, and smart home automations. The device prioritizes privacy and security, recognizing users by face to adapt content and responses while keeping personal data protected. HomeView is available in both tabletop and wall-mounted models, with pre-orders open and availability beginning November 13.

HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display with adaptive brightness and True Tone, adjusting from 500 nits for bright rooms to 0.3 nits for nighttime use. The design includes a domed speaker base with custom full-range drivers, a down-firing woofer, and computational audio for rich Spatial Audio. It supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, and third-party apps, with multiroom audio when paired with other compatible devices. The interface dynamically adjusts based on user proximity, offering simpler views from a distance and detailed content up close.

Siri AI on HomeView is a new, more conversational assistant powered by Apple Intelligence and advanced silicon, capable of understanding personal context from Calendar, Messages, and other apps. Users can customize Siri’s voice expressiveness and pace, with conversations syncing privately across Apple devices via iCloud. Even without an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, HomeView delivers Siri AI’s broad world knowledge and improved music discovery, maintaining privacy protections as the world’s most private digital assistant.

HomeView offers customizable faces for the display, including Photos with Portrait-style depth effects, Flow for interactive art, and Snoopy animations reflecting time, weather, and events. It supports hands-free automations, Intercom broadcasts to other HomePods and devices, and recipe conversion with hands-free timers in the kitchen. FaceTime with Center Stage keeps users framed during calls, while Messages can be read or answered via voice or keyboard, enhancing convenience and connectivity within the home.
