IBM, the US Open’s official AI and Cloud sponsor, will open a free four-day fan experience at Madison Square Park in New York City from September 10 to 13, 2026. The event will coincide with the US Open Championship Weekend and feature AI-powered tennis activations, live viewing, and official merchandise. The pop-up will be located at the southeast corner of the park, adjacent to IBM’s flagship office at One Madison Avenue. Admission is free for all attendees.
IBM and the USTA have collaborated since 1992 to deliver advanced digital experiences to over 14 million tennis fans globally each year. This year, the partnership will introduce enhanced AI-powered features, including Live Updates, Serve Quality, and Key Moments. These tools aim to provide deeper insights into matches and player performance during the tournament. The innovations will be accessible both at the Madison Square Park event and through IBM’s digital platforms.
The Madison Square Park fan experience will offer an immersive live viewing setup, allowing attendees to watch US Open matches on large screens while engaging with interactive tennis activations. Official US Open merchandise will also be available for purchase on-site. The event is designed to bring the excitement of the tournament to New York City residents and visitors who may not attend the event in Flushing Meadows. IBM will operate the pop-up in collaboration with the USTA.
The US Open is scheduled to take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York, from August 24 to September 7, 2026.
