Equator Renewables Asia unveils 250 kW containerized PV system
Equator Renewables Asia launched SolarBox, a 235–250 kW containerized solar system for rapid deployment at industrial or remote sites, with preassembled PV arrays unfolding in under three hours.
Singapore-based Equator Renewables Asia (ERA) unveiled SolarBox, a containerized solar power system designed for quick deployment at industrial sites, remote locations, and temporary installations. The system integrates 235 kW to 250 kW of PV capacity into a standard 40-foot high-cube shipping container, with a preassembled solar array that unfolds to approximately 120 meters in length using linked folding PV tables mounted on a roller-wheel chassis.
According to ERA, a two-person crew can deploy the system in less than three hours, with deployment taking approximately two hours under suitable conditions. The design minimizes the need for conventional foundations and allows relocation when land-use requirements change. Each SolarBox incorporates 368 n-type TOPCon bifacial solar modules rated at 640 W, providing approximately 235.5 kW of DC capacity in the reference configuration.
The system features two 100 kW inverters in its standard configuration, providing 200 kW of AC output, with 115 kW inverter options also listed. The electrical architecture supports 400 V three-phase output at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, with integrated DC and AC protection, surge protection, grounding, remote monitoring, and energy metering. ERA states the system can operate in grid-connected and off-grid configurations, with optional battery storage and diesel generator integration.
ERA has signed a memorandum of understanding with Aster Power to assess SolarBox deployment at facilities on Singapore’s Bukom and Jurong islands. Announced during Singapore International Energy Week in October 2026, the agreement will evaluate the technical and commercial feasibility of relocatable PV systems in large industrial environments where land may only be temporarily available.
