Samsung Electronics Announces Second Quarter 2026 Results
Samsung Electronics reported record Q2 2026 revenue of KRW 171.5 trillion and operating profit of KRW 89.5 trillion, driven by strong memory chip sales and AI demand. Device Solutions Division revenue rose 56% QoQ, while Device eXperience Division sales fell 9%.

The Device Solutions (DS) Division achieved KRW 127.5 trillion in revenue and KRW 89.2 trillion in operating profit, with the Memory Business setting quarterly records due to AI-driven server demand and industry price increases.
The Memory Business recorded its highest-ever quarterly revenue and operating profit, supported by server product focus amid AI infrastructure spending. Samsung shipped the industry’s first HBM4E samples and scaled HBM4 sales, while expecting continued undersupply in H2 2026 despite partial demand moderation in mobile and PCs. The Business plans to maintain technology leadership with high-value products like HBM4, DDR5, and SOCAMM2, despite ongoing supply constraints.
The System LSI Business sustained revenue through high-volume mobile SoCs and image sensors, achieving a record first half despite soft mobile demand in China. The Foundry Business saw significant earnings improvement driven by HBM base-die demand and U.S. customer orders, with plans to expand 2nm and 4nm process production in H2 2026. Samsung Display Corporation reported KRW 7.5 trillion in revenue and KRW 0.7 trillion in operating profit, with growth in small and medium displays and gaming monitors.
The MX and Networks Businesses reported KRW 33.2 trillion in revenue but an operating loss of KRW 0.7 trillion, impacted by component costs. The MX Business aims to strengthen AI leadership and expand flagship models like the Galaxy Z8 and S26 series, while the Networks Business targets profitability amid telco investment challenges. Visual Display and Digital Appliances businesses posted KRW 14.5 trillion in revenue with slight losses, focusing on AI TV differentiation and air conditioner demand in H2 2026.
