Samsung’s Accessibility Design for Home Appliances received the inaugural Impact Award at IDEA 2026 for addressing diverse user needs. The design introduces features such as Easy Mode for simplified interfaces, Auto Open Door for effortless access, and Voice ID for personalized settings. These innovations aim to make home appliances like washers and refrigerators more usable for individuals with visual, hearing, mobility, or cognitive differences, with settings transferable across connected devices.

Nine Samsung designs earned Bronze awards at IDEA 2026 for advancements in premium appliances, branding, and sustainability. The company also had 35 designs recognized as Finalists.
