The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
SK Telecom’s AI assistant Ediit has launched new features to streamline customer service interactions. The ‘AgentCall’ function provides real-time captions during calls, allowing users to follow automated menu options without audio clarity issues. It also estimates wait times and lets users delegate the waiting process to AI, freeing them to multitask. The feature is available for registered business numbers in Ediit’s contact list.
Ediit’s ‘AI Message’ feature summarizes key details from reservation and coupon texts, extracting essential information like dates, locations, and coupon codes. Users can set reminders for expiration dates and receive direct links or copied codes for quick use. The feature helps distinguish important messages from spam by highlighting core content, such as ‘10,000-won coffee coupon’.
A new ‘To-Do’ function in Ediit automatically registers tasks and schedules based on call and message content. Users can manually input tasks or let AI generate checklists for activities like grocery shopping or document submissions. The feature tracks completion status and suggests next steps, integrating seamlessly with Ediit’s existing tools.
These updates aim to reduce manual effort in managing communications and schedules. Ediit emphasizes user control, stating that AI assists rather than autonomously executes actions like menu selections or wait delegation. The features are designed to enhance convenience without replacing user decision-making.
