Volkswagen unveiled the new all-electric ID. Cross compact SUV, featuring three power outputs, two battery sizes, and advanced driver-assistance systems. Starting at €27,995, sales begin in select markets with deliveries expected later in 2024.

Volkswagen has introduced the ID. Cross, an all-electric compact SUV priced from €27,995, with advance sales commencing today. The vehicle offers three power outputs—85 kW, 99 kW, and 155 kW—and two battery options: 37 kWh and 52 kWh. The larger battery provides a WLTP range of up to 427 kilometers, while the smaller version delivers up to 320 kilometers. The ID. Cross is built on the MEB+ platform, offering improved interior space and practical storage solutions, including a front trunk and additional under-floor storage.
The ID. Cross features a modern design with a clear, timeless aesthetic, including optional IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlamps and 3D LED rear lights. Inside, the vehicle includes a Digital Cockpit Pro with a 26 cm display and a 32.8 cm infotainment touchscreen. The interior emphasizes high-quality materials, such as fabric-covered surfaces and tactile controls. The infotainment system supports intuitive operation, including a retro display mode inspired by classic Volkswagen models. The SUV also offers advanced driver-assistance systems, including Connected Travel Assist with traffic light recognition and One Pedal Driving for simplified deceleration.
The ID. Cross is available in Trend, Life, and Style trim levels, with the Style variant including features like heated seats, illuminated VW logos, and optional Harman Kardon sound systems. The vehicle also offers optional extras such as a panoramic roof, pneumatic massage seats, and a 74 x 90 cm electric sunblind. The SUV can tow trailers up to 1,200 kg and includes a vehicle-to-load function for charging devices up to 3.6 kW. The adaptive DCC suspension is available as an option for the 155 kW variant, enhancing ride comfort and agility.
Advance orders for the ID. Cross are open in select markets, with the Life and Style trims available in the 155 kW (211 PS) and 52 kWh configuration starting at €36,525. The Trend variant with 85 kW and 37 kWh will follow later. The vehicle is positioned as a versatile, family-friendly electric SUV, combining practicality, advanced technology, and competitive pricing in the compact segment.
