Starting this Friday, users of the foldable iPhone Duo can access apps and games specifically optimized for its dual-display design. The device features an inner display 50 percent larger than iPhone 18 Pro Max, enabling smoother transitions between apps and improved multitasking. Developers are leveraging the A20 Pro chip and Split View to create experiences for streaming, gaming, and productivity. Editorial collections on the App Store will highlight these apps, identifiable by a Made for iPhone Duo badge.

Streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Paramount+ are adapting their apps to take advantage of the larger inner display. Netflix allows users to browse Clips on the outer display before continuing on the inner display, while Prime Video uses the partially folded position to show content on top and X-Ray details below. Paramount+ offers expanded browsing and richer playback controls for shows and live channels.

Productivity apps such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, and Fantastical are rolling out desktop-class experiences optimized for the larger display. Split View enables side-by-side app usage, with tools and dashboards displayed more comprehensively. Note-taking apps like Notewise, Things, and Bear also benefit from the expanded screen space for better organization and task management.

Gaming experiences on iPhone Duo include titles like Asphalt Legends, Zenless Zone Zero, and UnGodly, which adapt controls and visuals to the device’s folding design. Apple Arcade games such as Sneaky Sasquatch and Retrocade offer immersive gameplay when opened and convenient pick-up-and-play when closed. Independent developers are also creating playful interactions, such as Deck-Man, which turns the device into a retro cassette player.
