Apple begins pre-orders for iPhone Duo on October 16, featuring a foldable design with a 50% larger inner display and advanced AI-powered Siri features.
Apple announced that customers can pre-order the new iPhone Duo starting Friday, October 16, at 5 a.m. PT via apple.com and the Apple Store app. The device introduces a foldable design with Apple’s largest iPhone display, offering a 50% larger inner screen than the iPhone 18 Pro Max for enhanced content viewing, gaming, and multitasking. When closed, it features a 5.4-inch outer display that retains 90% of the screen area of the iPhone 18 Pro in a compact form factor. The hinge is precision-engineered for a smooth, durable feel, and the device is powered by the A20 Pro chip with a dual-battery system for all-day battery life.
iPhone Duo runs iOS 27, which adapts to the device’s versatile interactions, including a new Siri AI powered by Apple Intelligence. This version of Siri offers personal context understanding, broader world knowledge, and onscreen awareness, enabling users to ask questions about content on the large inner display. The camera system includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera with zero shutter lag, a 2x Telephoto, and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera for macro photography. A new FaceTime camera beneath the inner display supports hands-free calls in any orientation.
Apple offers multiple purchasing options for iPhone Duo, including leasing through Apple Upgrade, financing, carrier deals, and trade-in credits. Customers can receive an instant trade-in credit ranging from $175 to $885 when trading in an eligible iPhone 13 or higher, which can be applied to reduce monthly payments. Apple Upgrade, provided by Klarna, offers 12- and 24-month leasing options starting at $57.99 per month (excluding taxes and trade-in credits) for a 24-month lease. Apple also partners with carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon to provide up to $1,200 in trade-in credit for qualifying devices.
The iPhone Duo Folio and iPhone Duo Case are introduced as complementary accessories, available in navy blue, taupe, and sand colors. The Folio features an integrated kickstand for versatile viewing angles, while the Case is thin and light with a two-part protective design. Both accessories are MagSafe, Qi2 25W, and Qi-certified compatible, offering fast wireless charging. AppleCare+ and AppleCare One plans are available to protect against accidents, spills, theft, and loss, with options extending coverage to multiple devices in select markets.
