Apple Home Collection introduces a new suite of smart home accessories designed in partnership with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, including indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell, and a door lock. These products are intended to integrate directly with Apple Home, allowing users to set up and manage devices through the Apple Home app without requiring separate accounts or additional software. Each accessory is encrypted end-to-end within Apple Home, ensuring that only users and those they designate can access home data. The lineup expands the existing Works with Apple Home and Matter ecosystem, offering customers additional recommended products for home monitoring, access management, and climate control.

LG Electronics contributes four cameras to the collection, including indoor and outdoor models that capture up to 2.5K resolution video. The cameras recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles, and packages, with video history stored in iCloud+ for 10 days without requiring a separate camera subscription. They feature built-in storage to continue recording during Wi-Fi outages and support Apple Intelligence for automatic video descriptions and natural language search of footage. Users can view live footage and camera activity directly from the Home app on multiple Apple devices.

The new Smart Deadbolt Lock from LG Electronics uses Ultra Wideband technology to automatically unlock when a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch approaches, while also supporting PIN entry, a hidden backup key slot, and guest access via the Home app. The lock can detect tampering or door status changes and alerts users accordingly. When paired with the video doorbell, users can see visitors, communicate with them, and unlock the door remotely through the Home app or by using Siri. The lock is Matter compatible and supports Aliro, enabling local operation even without an internet connection.

Two Smart Thermostats are included in the collection, one from LG Electronics and one from Schneider Electric, both designed to integrate with Apple Home for adaptive temperature control and energy management. The thermostats use on-device intelligence to adjust settings based on occupancy and time of day, and offer Clean Energy Guidance in the contiguous U.S. to shift heating and cooling to lower-cost, cleaner periods. They are Matter compatible, DIY-friendly, and work with a wide range of HVAC systems, with on-device wire detection to simplify installation. All products in the lineup support Thread for reliable connectivity and automatically update network credentials if a user changes their Wi-Fi.
